HI I WOULD LIKE TO KNOW ONCE YOU PASS YOUR FIRST CCNP EXAM HOW LONG DO YOU HAVE TO COMPETE THE REMANING 3 EXAM. DO YOU NEED TO HAVE THEM ALL DONE WITHIN 1 YR OF PASSING FIRST EXAM
First off, please refrain from posting in all caps, it is considered as yelling.
I believe once you pass the first exam, it is valid for 3 years. To the best of my knowledge there is set time limit for how long you have to complete all 4 tests. But I do think many will agree, once you start, it is best to try and finish them all up and not stretch it out for years and years.
When I passed the advanced routing CCNP several years ago and before I got sidetracked by getting my BS degree and did not finish CCNP - it was pretty clear from Cisco I could use that passed exam until it expired (3 years).
However ....... as lerdalt said you want to move from test to test asap and get it done in months and not even think more then a year or year and a half.
If you got a good foundation with CCNA - meaning lots of hands on and not just a braindump then 3-5 months on each each exam should be good!
I know it's a different, but when I was working on my CNE, I took my sweet old time. Right up to the point tests started to expire. Wouldn't expect that happen on the Cisco front now, but I was starting to panic, and ended up having to crank out like 3 tests in about 4 months time frame to finish up my CNE. Not a fun way to go at it.
I've been slacking lately with my studying too...I fell out of the same habits I had while working on my CCNP, and it's hard to get back on track. Once you are motivated, you need to keep at it.
