That is very hard to answer - it depends on how well you know Cisco networking! What is your background? Have you done well on other certifications?
Did you take the CCNA yet? How did you find that?
I would say most that have a stong background in networking and had little trouble on the CCNA would spend 3-6 months on each exam reading through at least 2 different books and doing a bunch of hands-on labs!
All I can say is that they are very hard exams but on the other side of it you do not want to even call yourself a CCNP until you know the stuff like the back of your hand!
Thank you for your reply.
I have the CCNA and did well. I am good with Cisco Networking. I only ask because I am going to take the BSCI exam this week, and just wanted to know how long someone should take so study for the other CCNP exams.
I thought the BSCI was a big step up from the CCNA. I studied hard for months, only to score 748... twice (776 is the minimum score to pass). Some of the questions were the same on the two exams I took, most were not.
I have been told the BSCI is the hardest of the four CCNP exams. Since my CCNA expires next year, I need to get cracking on one of the CCNP exams to renew it. Maybe I will try BCMSN, since I was told it is a little easier than BSCI.
