Hi everyone,

I just took the CCNA 640-801 test and didn't pass.

I have a couple of questions for those of you who have taken the CCNA test.

First of all, in the Router sim questions do I have to save my configuration changes???

Second, I had a question where it show the rip advertisements. And it was showing a route that was advertised but it had a Hop Count of 16 and unrecheable. The statement in question was :

Which of the follwing network would be updated on the on the current router's routing table?????

172.16.0.0 (Hop count 1)
10.0.0.0 (Hop count 3)
192.168.1.0 (Hop count16 unreachebale)

Would the unreachable network be updated on the ruting table???

Hopefulle someone can clear this for me.

Thanks,
Rocket

Yes... You have to save your configuration. I think it has to be "copy running-config startup-config" too.

The RIP metric 16 route shouldn't be installed in the routing table.

Thanks baddos for your reply!

I can't believe that migh be the reason I didn't pass. I didn't save any of the configuration changes I did to the Sim quesitons.

But hey live and learn. ;)

Thanks again baddos.

I have passed both the CCNA 2.0 Exam (2.5 years ago) and the "new" CCNA 3.0 exam (July 2004).

I missed 3 questions on first and 2 questions on 2nd (based on score % in the breakdown.

I did not miss any on the 4 sims (2 on each test) and on all I used "copy run start" to save all work and then exited out of the routers.

Always save work and never leave a router logged in.

I never thought about it that way, since it was a simulator.

Next time I'll make sure I copy and exit.

Thanks a lot everyone!
