I'll looking for advise to some of the things that I can do with the three Cisco 3600 routers that I have. I want to do some real world configuration. Can someone also tell me what kind of cable do I need in order to connect the routers together. I figure that I can only connect two of the three routers since I don't have a switch. Please advise. THX

All depends on what sort of interface cards they have in them!

Yup what kind of interfaces on em, do you have the cables necessary to setup em(DTE/DCE cables), rolled cable w/serial adapter for console port, etc. Once you got em, get yourself a good Cisco book, I.E. Lamle's/Cisco Press and follow along to hook em up and setup your Routing Protocols....Would hurt to get yourself at least one switch as well...

Thanks for the responce. I have the basic ethernet, AUX, and CSU/DSU connections. I currently do not have the DTE/DCE cables.

The DTE/DCE is a must to sim a WAN link. Look em up an Ebay, 60pin I believe DTE/DCE. Also, like I mentioned before, get yourself a switch so you can work through the switch's command line with things such as:
VLAN membership
VLAN port assignment
STP config/monitoring
Telnet config (Setup IP address for remote management)
Trunking (More than one switch, but probably not necessary for the CCNA. Theory will do here)
The 801 test is fairly rough, especially the SIM questions and will test your "hands-on" knowledge.
Also know FR and ISDN.
OSPF EIGRP are also on there....
All these things you can practice with your equipment.

Can you tell me how many DTE/DCE I would need to go along with the three reouters.

What if you have two internal T1 WICs or DSU/CSU? Can you use a x-over?
