CCNA security 1

I'm looking at Cisco's Certification website, but haven't found an answer yet. I have a valid, but expiring CCNA in September. If I pass the IINS exam, will that renew my CCNA? Will it also count towards CCSP? I had started work on ROUTE, but have developed an interest in security.

It will renew your current CCNA, Grant you a CCNA security cert and allow to to test For the CCSP. If you pass route you also renew your ccna.

I have no idea. Do you Know anything about VPN or cert based encryption? Those are bigges. Look at the Cisco IINS topics and see how much you know. Dont brain dump. Make sure you learn it. Not memorize it.

Thanks, yes, I'm working with two PIX 515's here, doing VPNS with those and am migrating one to an ASA soon. Cert based encryption - not so sure about that. But, I'm going to pick up the Cisco book and see if I can do it. I do have some equipment lying around I can practice on, including 6 routers, eight switches, and two PIX units. Thanks for your input, I appreciate it.
