Does anyone have definitive information on how the router sim is graded for the 640-607? Everything I have found seem unsubstantiated. For instance, is a command graded after hitting the enter key, or is the sim graded based on the end result? People seem to be of different opinions about whether you need to save changes to the running-config to NVRAM as well. Technically if you are asked to change the IP address of an interface and that is all you are asked to do, you needn't perform a copy run start.

Just curious if there is anything about this on Cisco's site. I haven't found anything to date.

TIA!

I think I found my answer at:
If I interpreted this correctly (and I am waiting for a response from Cisco on this so I will know if I did shortly), you do not need to save your configuration after making the needed changes. Additionally, it would seem that the question is not graded until you have completed and moved on to the next question. So if you enter a command incorrectly and press enter, but realize it and change it, it will not be graded as incorrect.

Hope this is helpful to someone. I will share my answer from Cisco once I have it. There seems to be a bit of mis-information on this issue currently and maybe this will put it to rest.

Thanks

that is usefull to know, so the Router sim is not "live" it will only process your entry when you click to move onto the next question?

Hmmn, I am looking to take the exam in early Dec so I need to get these sorts of details cleared up.

Thanks

EB
