Hello,

I some how ended up getting stuck with 2 ASA 5515'x replacing out with some older baracuda FW's. I am having trouble just getting basic ripv2 routing to work between the interfaces. Is there something i am missing here please let me know! The routes aren't even showing in my routing tables on the router after i enter them in. Anyways i have to setup a failover & HA. PAT's and some VPNS. Anyone recommend best practice for this?

Thanks for anything. These things are nothing like switches / routers.

Thanks

Nate

RIP is RIP, so as long as you have more than one device on a common subnet and RIP is active, it should listen for the multicast updates (assuming v2). Do you have any firewalls between these devices blocking UDP/520?

Setting up failover, NAT, and RA VPN are a lot more involved so these should be tackled in separate posts. What version of code are you running?
