Dear all,

I have a question concerning the CCDP certification. As shown on the Cisco webpages a valid CCNA (or CCDA) certification is a prerequisite for the CCDP. Is this just a recommendation by Cisco? Or do I really have to get the CCNA before? Thank you for your answers in advance.

Kind Regards

Bedrihan

I believe it is a pre-requisite. You are certainly not able to take CCNP exams without passing CCNA first.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't think you have to have the CCNA before taking any of the CCNP or CCDP exams..... you just have to have it before you are awarded the certification.

That may well be true, but it amounts to the same thing.
