HI, I know that these topics have been discussed a bit but I need a bit of assistance getting to grips with info:
This is from the CCNA exam question I had where I was required to use the CLI of SW-AC3 to answer five quest
1. What int did Sw-Ac3 associate with source mac 0010-5xxxxx. I did a show mac-add-table but could find the address
2.What will be the dest MAC for a frame containing a packet with IP add 192.168.XX.XX destination IP add 192.0.XX.XX
3. Which switch is root bridge for VLAN 1

also,
the acl question where one ip was allowed to access server and all others was denied ftp, I know how to do the acl but on which end of the router do I place the acl, as per the rule it should go on the out bound interface to the web server but not sure if I am right.

Thanks

For question 2, we'd have to see a diagram, but it is the MAC of the last router it hits before the destination. For 3, it's the lowest MAC address.
The acl is an extended acl, and those go closest to the source. Standard acls get applied closest to the destination.
For the first question (sorry they're out of order), you said that the question states what port is associated with that MAC address---the command "show mac-address-table" is the command you want, and it breaks down what mac address is intended for what destination interface...here's an example...
Destination Address Address Type VLAN Destination Port
------------------- ------------ ---- --------------------
000d.1234.abdc Dynamic 1 FastEthernet0/23
0011.5678.efgh Dynamic 1 FastEthernet0/6
0050.9101.ijkl Dynamic 1 FastEthernet0/16

Here you see 000d.1234.abcd as a destination address, and traffic intended for this destination is forwarded out port fa0/23.

Next time, post your cert questions in the certifications forum...
