Hey all- all ideas welcome! We have an Option81 3.0, CCMS 6.0, and CP 5.0. We have used access ports for years and everything was working up until yesterday. We haven't made any changes in either CCMS or CP so our integration and setup is correct.

Yesterday we lost our CCMS ELAN connection so link to PBX and CP was severed. It ended up that our data network team was making some changes (or were looking at something) on the data switch which caused the link to go down. Anyway they were able to bring the port back up and in the end they said they really didn't make any changes. We since restarted CP and CCMS multiple times and everything is fine except access ports. When rebooting CP we get an error stating CP is up and able to take calls, but link to SCCS access is not up or something to that affect. I've restarted MAS link handler and VSM a million times and I can not get these things working. I have tried everything I have in the past and no luck.

I can ping IPs between CCMS and CP so I know communication is happening at that layer. I'm kind of thinking that possibly a network port may be blocked? I know in our CCMS config we have port 10008 defined as comm port to CP.

Any ideas on this? Appreciate the thoguhts. Thanks.

Here is an idea...

On earlier versions of sccs and cp the elans had to be connected in a certain order.

I have had to take sccs down, cp down, and reboot switch. (Ini's didn't seem to work)

Then bring sccs up completely before booting cp up.

Elan 16 sccs
Elan 17 cp

I see that you suggested what I said to someone else recently, so I guess you've already ruled it out..

Good Luck

Thank you for the response. We've actually resolved the issue. Apparently, without manual intervention, some configuration was blown out of CCMS. The access port channel IDs were removed either during an ELAN failure or reboot of CCMS. Channels IDs were added and been rolling along since.
