hello

i would like to set up a home Lab for CCME could someone please give me a list of kit that i would need to config say a basic two IP cisco phones.

thanks for all your help.

I would start with an 1811 ISR with the integrated POE switch and a couple of 7940 phones (don't waste your time with 7912s). From a hardware standpoint, that's it, though you will quickly outgrow that from a training perspective. CME isn't really rocket science, unless you plan on doing everything from the CLI, at which point, you'll have a blast!

Absolutely right. foobar on my part. I'm using the 2811 and got confused from a previous post about the 1811.

hello

what type of IOS do i need to run CME on say a 2600 router

this is just for a CME lab

thanks

Hello Glenn,

it depends on the CME version!

For instance, when you want to test in your CME Lab the latest version 4, you must rely on IOS 12.4.4-XC at a minimum.

But beware, you need plenty of MB for the flash!

Hope that helps.
