Hi All,

I'm using a 2811 with CCME 7.1 as a PRI simulator for my lab. I'm currently using a 3550 switch to power just 1 7940 phone. So I've got hold a 9 port fa module with POE HWICD 9ES(The 2811 also has the correct POW PSU) to do away with the 3550. I've installed the module in slot 0/1 the phones power up but I cannot get any phones to register. The config works fine with my 3550 switch and this is the config:

If i connect FA0/0 to FA 0/1/8 (see config) the phone picks up the DHCP and Call Manager 1 address, but will not register. If I don't do this it picks up nothing. I've got a feeling I might have to use bridging and BVI, I did try but I could not get it to work. Any ideas??!!!

Cheers,,

Were you plugging your 3550 switch into FE0/0? Is it still plugged in when the phones won't register? Your source IP for the Telephony service is on that port so it has to be up and up. If you aren't plugging anyhting int FE0/0 then put your 192.168.80.1 address on your VLAN 80 interface and see what happens.

I am doing this exact same thing with out bridging or BVI. I'll look up my config tomorrow and compare it to yours.

There is an easier way to make a PRI simulator out of a router than using CME.
