I have a user that needs to run reports from the Mitel CCM web interface, although it fails when she tries to launch a report. I have temp put her in the domain admins group and it works fine (now removed from this group), although adding her as local admin on her machine and the ccm server doesn't work.

She gets the below message:

The report launcer object could not be created. Common causes of this problem are as follows:

The website folder /ccmweb/applications/reportlauncher may have been assigned incorrect execute permissions

Any ideas???

Thanks in advance

Is Excel installed and working? If Excel is installed and working, try clearing the temporary internet files and the temp folder located at C:\Documents and Settings\<UserProfile>\Local Settings\Temp

Thanks for the reply. Excel installed and working fine. If I log onto the machine with admin rights it works fine. Temp files cleared and stull no luck :(

Any other ideas?

What is the user setup as in the 6110 CCM? If the user is setup as an agent then she may not have the permissions to launch reports via the 6110 CCM. You may need to set her up as a supervisor and setup another security role with reporting access and assign her that role via the 6110 CCM.

set the user as a supervisor or set another security role with access to reporting and assign it to the user.

This is happening when I run IE as the user. The ccm login remins the same throughout. Does anyone know where the reportlauncher script runs from? I think that is the problem area.

Thanks

Thanks for the reply. Tried both steps listed with no joy. Anymore ideas? Or does anyone know where the reportlauncher process runs from?

Thanks

I get the same error on IE6 and IE7. CCM version is 5.1 interactive.

Using windows 2003 server r2 standard edition service pack 2 and client machines running win2000 and xp

Does this user get the same error if logged in as herself on a different machine?

If not, try renaming her profile...just add OLD at the end of the profile name. If she is logging into the local machine, create a new profile for her then have her login and try it. If she logs into the machine with a domain account, let Windows create a new profile for her when she logs. Then try it again.

Yep same error for all users without admin rights. I've just tried putting 5.1 sp4 on but this hasn't helped either.

Cheers for the help so far guys. Any other ideas?
