Just a heads up to all you CCM admins. If you have an older IBM server you are running CCM on, do NOT reboot.

I had a planned power outage and luckily had a recent backup. Check this thread:

Basically says if your BIOS is older then 1.45, once you reboot after October 1, 2009 the server will NOT come back up. There are updates you can perform to the BIOS to get it back up and running, but I am still in the process of trying to do that. I will update once I get it back up.

Ok so I have applied the new BIOS to flash and changed my date to before 10/1/09 like the instruction say. The CCM has come back up! YAY...but with the 2009 date....Booo.

Sp now I will have to upgrade CCM from my current version (6.1.2) to a new "fixed" version (6.1.4). That will have to be a scheduled event in the future (in a couple of weeks.)

Is this the bios issue on the ibm servers mcs-7825?

If so all you should have to do is upgrade and reset the time.

Note: Some upgrades will force the bios back to 1.43 where the problem began in the first place.
