hello all, i am trying to get a 3725 with a fxs card working with ccm 3.3. i followed:

and it works,,, kind of. i have everything configured on the ccm and it looks right, i have dn and the gw is registered. i have 2 pots phones and 3 voip phones. the voip phones can call the pots phone, but when i take a pots phone off hook i get a busy signal, so pots cant call voip. i am very new at this ccm so thanks in advance.

are the pots phones in the same call search space as the voip phones?

I think so, do I just check that ib the ccm?
thanks

i checked and both the pots and the ip phones do not have a CSS set. they are "none". any other ideas? i am hoping this is something simple i have overlooked. but i did follow those docs concerning the fxs and ccm configs. anyone?

btw--

System image file is "flash:c3725-ipvoice-mz.123-7.T1.bin

again i want to state that when i pick up the pots phones, i get a busy signal. before i did the ccm route, i attempted just configuring the pots phone to call each other via dial peers on the router and it did work. so i really think it is some config issue. here is the config on the router:

try placing them in the same call search space as the phones you are trying to call. you can always change them back.

it didnt work. any other ideas?
thanks

That is pretty strange behavior...if the analog phone goes off hook you get a busy signal. It almost sounds like you might have some kind of PLAR configured in CCM. Are there any translation patterns in your CCM?

i had this happen to me in the lab. try adding the following command

ccm-manager xxxxx then add the ip address of the call manager.

show mgcp statistics and post

the gateway needs to have knowledge of the call manager.

when i enter "ccm-manager" these are the only options i see:

config-download
switchover-to-backup

i dont see any option for an ip address.
the gatway knows about the ccm from "mgcp call-agent 192.168.55.2" right?

thanks and i look forward to more ideas

yes it should do a debug of mgcp. i had to play around with it until it worked. i also had to make sure that the call manager was registering the gateway via domain name. i will look into my configurations and get back to you

I got it working. I had a prefix DN entered which broke things.
thanks everyone
