Im getting a lot of errors from the 6100, log details below...
Media 2 Critical Alarms Encountered
Alarms: SMDRDataTimeout -

But, I can't see anywhere on the 6100 where i can view the SMDR or alarms, any ideas on how I can clear this?

Also, got an issue where I run scheduled reports for the management team on a weekly basis, for some reason the reports run, you can view them all in the inbox, but it will not email them out, even though the smtp settings are exactly the same on a new site thats just been configred up, and that new site reports email out fine. Am i missing part of the configuration?

Go to the CCMWeb stub here:
CCM server IP address/CCMweb
then login
go to Tools
Click on SMDR Inspector
Select your date(s)
Click on Start Search

For Alarms...
Same place, this time go to "Your Site"
Click on Configure Alarms
and set up the parms you want to be alerted for
(I have mine disabled because they're a P.I.T.A.) I don't need an ACD report/monitoring server telling me when my systems are down; if the server crashes, we'll hear about it and if the PBX dies we'll hear about that too. Too many alarms, too much micro-management.

For reporting, sounds like you may be missing some config stuff. Again go to the CCMWeb stub
click on the 'Reporter' tab
Choose one of your reports (you should see the ones here that you've set up)
Click on 'manage schedule'
go down to Excel distribution, there you will or should see who you are emailing the reports to. If it's a group, you must have the group defined in your email contacts (elsewhere in config). If it's an individual, the individual's email address must also be in your contact list.

Setting up CCM is somewhat involved with a number of steps to get it all working and a lot of interdependent pieces of the puzzle. Miss one of them and it doesn't work. Good luck. (good product documentation tho. I recommend printing it out and putting it in a binder, then you can paste tabs on specific sections, use highlighter, etc, read the thing sitting on the john, etc.

email:
excel installed?
under employee have you configured the media server?

smdr alarms will show whenever there's no smdr stream from the controller. this usually happens at night when there are no calls in a non 24 hours call centre

thanks for your help here guys, i've sorted the alarms, no more email notifications. Your right, too many random alerts = too much micro management, and i certainly don't have time for that!!!

As for the reports, I've chosen the agent reports i want, and I'm already in the contacts list, and I've confirmed Excel is working on the CCM server. is there any other config for email other the the smtp address within the enterprise?

check the reporter log file. this always tells you what the issue is if it fails. did you check the employee that has set up the reports, has it's media server set under the employee configuration?

finally got this one resolved, the reporter log file showed that it was failing when sending out the emails and the ccm looked like it had so many reports stuck in pending believe that was another reason why that was failing. cleared out those reports, and made sure our exchange server hadn't blacklisted the ccm, and the reports are finally flowing!

For the alarms, i logged into the ccm server, and opened the network monitor, clicked on the + next to the media server, then clicked on Data Link, this brought up the SMDR & ACD trace, and there are buttons to either restart the acd or smdr, now have an alarm free system!
