I have an old call manager that is running three locations. Two locations have a Cisco 2600 for their GW, the third has a 2801.
I would like to turn off the 3.2 call manager and move them all over to my existing 6.0.
Question:
Will I be able to reuse the 2600 routers? I am not doing anything fancy other then haveing the lines forward to my IPCC (plar xxxx) on the routers being used on 6.0.
Will the 2600 be able to do that?

Thanks

2600 routers will work with 6.X, just make sure you put the latest available IOS. They are end of life from CISCO so as long as they are not doing a critical application and can live without them if they crash you are good to go.

Thanks for the response.
I do not have any contract with Cisco, how would I obtain the IOS?
Is it required to have the latest IOS or is it just best practice?

Cisco only tests with certain IOS version so it would be best practice. You can try with what you are running already and see how it goes.
BTW what code are you currently on?

IOS (tm) C2600 Software (C2600-IK9O3S-M), Version 12.3(15a), RELEASE SOFTWARE (f
c2)
ROM: System Bootstrap, Version 12.2(7r) [cmong 7r], RELEASE SOFTWARE (fc1)
ROM: C2600 Software (C2600-IK9O3S-M), Version 12.3(15a), RELEASE SOFTWARE (fc2)
System image file is "flash:c2600-ik9o3s-mz.123-15a.bin"

This is what I would run:
c2600-ipvoicek9-mz.124-15.T8.bin
It requires 192MB minimum for memory and 48MB minimum for flash

This a T train specific for voice apps on the router. As far as being able to obtain it you will need a valid cco login which requires an active contract with cisco.

But as I mentioned earlier it might run ok with what you got now.

If the router is a 2620, it won't hold that much memory. I maxed out a couple and as I remember they only hold like 64/32 but my memory may be off. If they are 26xxXM routers they hold more.

I agree. if they are not XM's you can't run any of the newer IOS. Too large.
I made the assumption that he had an XM and not a plain 2600.

It is an XM.
cisco 2620XM (MPC860P) processor (revision 0x100) with 94208K/4096K bytes of memory.
Processor board ID JAD06300F9V (945505450)
Thanks
