Hi, I recently took over as the sys admin at my job and I've found that we are running CCM 3.1.1 and have the following questions:

1. The C drive on one of the servers is almost full. There is a few hundred megs available. I'm not sure what I should delete and what to keep. I have noticed that the database is almost 3GB in size.

2. It might be a good idea to do a reinstall but whoever did the initial install lost the original CD's. Anyone know where I can get them other then CISCO. Our service ran out a couple of months ago and were currently over budget so we may have to wait until next yeat to renew the service aggreement.

3. When I checked out the admin serviceability tool and click on the resourse usage, I noticed that the call complete to calls attempted are really low. The percentage is close to 60% completed. Is that normal?

4. I've noticed that 3 to 4 instances of the service DLLHOST pop up on task manager. This led me to believe that the boxes may have the Nichi virus but after running the fix tool from Symantec and Trend, it does not locate it. I have tried running the fix tool in Safe Mode but it just hangs and sits on 1% checked for some reason. Is there anything else I can do to remove the virus, if in fact they are infected?

It is normal to have more than one instance of DLLHOST running on the CallManager server, this is not necessarily indicative of a Nachi infection of the CM server. How many phones are defined to the system, and what hardware are you running CM on?

check if CDR logging is enabled, if you don't need it you can stop the service and kill the associated SQL database. Also check your backup utility and see if you can move the backups off the box.

good luck!

Clean that c drive fast! If the C drive fills up it will crash the call manager!

Thanks for your responses.

We are running a MCS7835 and a MCS 7822. We have roughly 90 phones. I have noticed that there is some traces being done. It's stored in Program files\cisco\ directory. I have cleaned up the logs so that only the logs withe the current day are kept. I have about 1.2GB of space now but that's not enough as I'm not able to defrag the drive.

I would like to clear out the C drive but I don't know what to get rid of. I have read that their is a way to "shrink" the SQL database. I'm not sure how to go about it but is it something that is easy to do?
