CCENT/CCNA recommended study

I am looking for the latest recommended self study books or kits to study for the new CCENT/CCNA tests.
I have done some searching, but a new book is being published Dec. 27 2007 and am unsure if I need to wait till its in stores or if the latest books for ICND1 are ok or not. Any advice is helpful.
