Using CCC V5, REPORTER, trying to establish recurring reports under the administration tab. Trouble when trying to distribute reports to an installed printer, in the add printer dialog box there is no printer found. Default printer is available (added via normal windows printer wizard) and works fine using regular reports. Only issue is with this tab and the function of adding the printer. Anyone one else seen this? Escalation to AVAYA is now in progress but I am not that patient.

Thanks
Jim

Installed 10 ccc V5 sites never seen one where they wnat to us the printer. Most use email and print from the desk top if they want to

[cheers]

Hello there - I have just installed similar and have the same problem.

I can't add any new printers local or network in any way!

Have you had any news from Avaya as my supllier has no ideas.

I also have the an issue with emailing - despite the fact that the Outlook account on the server emails fine the reports wont. I only get the "Exception has been thrown by the target of an invocation." error on the history.

The report is produced but not delivered. I have added a valid email address and selected the report format as well.

Any idea?

You must be a domain user to be able to select a printer.

From Avaya docs :

Use a 'domain user' account to run the 'CCC Reporting' service, this will allow the CCC Reporting service to use domain printers that have been configured for this domain users’ windows profile. Add the domain user account to the local administrators group, this allows the service to run unrestricted.

Login to the CCC server using the 'domain user' account to add printers that will be used for printing Preset (Scheduler) reports to printers, i.e. the windows account that the CCC service is running under will determine which printers are available for Preset Reports. If the 'CCC Reporting' service is run with a LocalSystem account, reports will not print correctly and if configured authentication to a CRM server will fail.

intrigrant,
I am the administator user for the domain, and I can add a printer (using the admin account). I can even print regular reports, but no printer pops up in the add printer dialog box while adding administration reports (tab within reporter). I have a call into Avaya, and within thier customary one week I got a call back but unfortunatly I took a short vacation so they are awaiting my call on Monday. I will update this posting when I get the answer.

I just posted as a reminder.

There is a update on trial for CCC 5, maybe its fixed in it?

Do as Intigrant says, but the key is to make sure that your CCC Reporter service (in services) is running with the account details that are able to add the printer.

intrigrant, you were correct in your first post, logging in as a domain user (instead of the administrator account) allowed us to see the printers.
Unfortunatly this customer will not allow our servers on their regular network, they isolated a portion of the hub for the 3 connections (IPO, VM/Key & CCC) and the supervisors PC's.

A battle from day one that we lost

Thanks for the update! I'm familiar with such customers.
Consider to add a network card in the client pcs and connect to the Avaya network using these NICs.

Should do the job.

yes it would intrigrant, but they are cubicles and the customer will not pay for the additional wire, I suggested a small hub at each supervisor locale but they won't pay for that either

If it has to cheap why did they not buy a low cost multi not usable semi-digital and very user unfriendly telephone switch on the black market in the south east european market?

cause my sales person told them it would work EXACTLY like their former system and this solution would fit in their tiny closet
