CCC preset report email error

Receive this error msg in the history from a preset report when trying to email. Email is not receievd by intended recepient
Must be a permissions thing in the exchange server, but anyone know the exact reason or are there many...???

So its sending from the mapi client ? outlook ? what version of outlook?

When you install outlook one of the extra options is to install the cdo collaboration data objects component. Go into add remove programs have your office or outlook cd in the drive it was installed from and add it.

Allow smtp relaying in the exchange system manager

servers

servername

protocols

smtp

right click on default smtp virtual server and properties

access tab

relay restrictions

add the ccc servers ip address to the granted list

you might need to restart something

got same error on from a pop3 server, so not just an exchange issue...anyone...anyonem IIS permissions?

For some reason you can also get this error if it is trying to send a report attachement in a format not supported on the server - eg if you don't have Word and Excel installed. Try using RTF format to see if this is the problem.

HELP!

I am running CCC V5 on a windows 2000 server - I recently needed to change my proxy machine and so configured Outlook on the CCC machine to the new IP.

I have sent test messages and they work fine however the CCC scheduled reports no longer run and I am getting the CDO.Message error.

I have tried everything on this thread so far - any more ideas??

I have the same issue: CCC on Win Server 2003 and Exchange on seperate Win 2003 Server.

If I recall I think it was antivirus on the ccc server stopping it
