Cc6 services
What services need to be running for the CC6 to work correctly. I recently restarted my CC6 and some of the services did not start, I had to restart the services manually, but there was some guess work involved. I am wondering if anyone is able to point me to where I would be able to find out what services need to be started, or does anyone have any doc’s with a brief description about what the each service does?

Thanks

Use SMonW

Starting the System Monitor utility:
To start this utility, you must use the Windows Start menu.
From the Windows Start menu, choose Programs > Contact Center Manager Server > System Monitor.
Result: The SMonW window appears.

For more information, and description of services:

There are a number of services that are "core" services to CCMS, while some of the services may or may not be running depending on the software packages you have purchased.

When looking at System Monitor (SMonW)
OAM, AUDIT, TSM, VSM, ASM, MLSM, TFA, TFE, SDMCA, EB, HDM, HDC, RDC, SDP, IS, ES, and RSM should all be up.

If you are in a networked environment, NDLOAM should be up as well.

If you are looking at this from the Windows Services application, it can get even more confusing. For example, if you are using GIVE IVR for voice prompts, CCMS MAS LinkHandler Port #2 does not have to be running, but if you are using Access Channels, it does. Also if you have replication, then CC Replication Service has to be running.

In a command line, you can type SERMAN AUTO, this will set all of the services your setup should have to automatically launch. Then go through the services window and check which services are set to auto but did not launch. Remember to check the dependencies tab for other services that may be "called" by a service.

In short, since every installation is a little bit different, no one can tell you what services you should have running. Your just going to have to go through them look at the services that are set to launch automatically, then look at all of the dependant services and create your own list. If you are unsure, please contact your vendor before experimenting.

Many thanks for these great posts! Its exactly what I was looking for.

Thanks Again.
