cc6 Licences and Upgrade

Hi all,

Just like to put the following pass this forum.

We have CC6 and a Meridian Option 11c release 4.5. CC6 = 90 agent Licenses we also have a Nortel Agent greeting Card in the switch with 120 licenses.

I have asked our 3rd party maintainer to get some prices for a upgrade to the agent licenses on the CC6. They have come back saying that we need to upgrade CC6 (probably to CC7 ) and the switch to a CS1000E before we can get these additional licenses installed. Does this sound correct for are they just have money out for me!

Yes, it does - you can no longer buy licenses due to vintage.

Thanks for the reply sandyml, sorry to delay in replying, I didnt get the notification emails. So we can no longer buy cc6 licences we will have to upgrade to cc7. Does anyone now the different between the two products ? How do I sell it to management? I would like to hear from any end users of CC7 to find out the additional benefits, if any .

You can't buy CC7 anymore either (not as upgrade or new, those with it are still able to buy licenses). The new product is called AACC 6. There are new displays, new reports and some other tweaks. Multimedia (option) is really nice. Your third party group should be able to show you a presentation with the changes. Runs on Windows 2008 server...a lot of people run it on virtual servers.

Will our option 11c need an upgrade for us to get AACC 6 ? Do you know if any new hardware is required?

We have the cabinet version of the Meridian option 11, will we need to upgrade to the rack mounted version.
