How do I connect two CB3500 systems so they pass IP traffic between each other?
I have a central site with network presences for nets a-f defined on a CB3500. Nets a-d are located at the central site, nets e-f are located in an adjacent building, and connected to the central site via fiber optic between SSII3000 switches and the CB3500 at the central site.
I want to connect an additional CB3500 in the adjacent building to prepare for upgrade to GB Ethernet. To do this, I need to be able to connect the two CB3500 systems together. I thought that if I set up the CB3500 in the adjacent building and defined nets e-f on it, that I could connect additionall-defined e-f ports from the CB3500 in the central building. This locks up the e-f network.
Someone said to try Q-tagging the nets between the CB3500 systems. Do I Q-tag on both CB3500s or just one? What other parameters must be set?
