cayman router

I was called by a friend wondering what might be happening with their internet connectivity......they have bellsouth ADSL with cayman modem.

Internet connectivity was fine up until Friday. They say Bellsouth was having problems but everything (according to bellsouth) is fine again as of yesterday but still no internet.


1. They have static IP addresses on the workstations
2. No gateway was listed (told them to place the IP of the modem as their
gateway but still no connectivity)
3. IExplorer settings are correct (autodetect )
4. They can ping themselves, other PCs and the Modem
5. Tracrt results: "cannot resolve"
 
Well,
I work for Verizon enterprise solutions group, and on occasion we send out cayman routers. I would be happy to doublecheck the settings with what i know about the router. The only true difference is that we dont offer static IP addresses...but otherwise fine. email me at scottvesg@verizonesg.net
