Hello,

My systems are using JDK_1.2.2_17 to send xml back to our customers. When it try to make a secure connection we receive "Caught a IOException. unsupported keyword OID.2.5.4.17". I know that this is a certificate issue caused by my version of JAVA not being able to recognize a 9 digit zip code.

My question is, is there any work around to this other then upgrading my JAVA?

Upgrading the JAVA is not a possible solution at this time due to a Production Freeze in progress and the amount of other applications needed to be reconfigured if we upgrade.

Not being funny - but a production freeze for a platform that is 6/7 years old ? I think you need to rethink your platform.

As for your exception, no idea - you don't post any code or the entire stack trace.

Also, in the future, please use forum69 , as this forum is meant for J2EE topics.

My apoligies, I will repost in the right section with code, thanks.

I work for a very large wireless telecommunications company and the production freeze is for the entire Production Network, which my systems are only a very small part of.
