Anyone know of a meter that's fairly small?

Currently I use a Sadelco Minimax for forward signal and a trilithic for reverse path. The trilithic is perfect size, however, I usually use the sadelco for checking signal on taps. Most taps in my area are aerial... so -- I end up lugging that huge meter all the way up the pole with me. Dangerous.

Anyone know of a meter that's capable of checking up to 800MHz that's small?

That unit is fairly nice.

How does that compare to the DisplayMax from Sadelco? I've used that as well, but prefer the minimax because it's faster and usually takes care of my needs.

I like the leakage detector on your unit.

Also, does your unit include a return path meter as well? I'd like to build a custom setup on my meter to check channel 2, channel 116, digital channel 80, and return path and give me a pass fail. That would make life much easier.

I'll try and find one on eBay perhaps.

The spec sheet for it can answer all your questions better than I can, but yes, you can set up your own parameters for pass/fail.
I am not familiar with the testers you mentioned, since this is the only one I have used in the field.

The DisplayMax is basically a leakage detector as well as a forward path meter. I'm not sure whether or not it can test the return path.

SadelCo Minimax meters are basically the industry standard for installation that doesn't require any advance diagnostics.
