Catlyst 4000 CatOS to IOS

Hi,

Can a Sup II Engine be converted from CatOS to IOS? I'm guessing no since I think the Sup II+ was the first to use IOS.

No it can not , Sup II is catos only . Only 6500's can be converted from catos to IOS .

Yes, SupII+ adds layer-3 and only runs IOS, whereas the SupI and SupII were layer-2 only.

Catalyst 6500's can be converted from CatOS to IOS ONLY if they have an MSFC.
