I have a problem with a mail file file where the archive process is failing returns the error message of "archive process failed modify archive settings" i have tried to archive mail file from diferent machines but still same problem. any help would be greatly appreciated

Are you dealing with someone else's mail file ?
If so, do you have that persons ID and password, or are you using your own ID ?
If using your ID, do you have Manager access to the mail file ?

yes I have his ID file i have manager access all the permissions are correct but is the process of archiving that seems to be failing

Hi

Try this; right click the database icon and from the properties select archive settings. There are various settings we can make to suit our need. May be you have not made the reqd settings properly. I can't advice the exact settings to be made coz u only know abt the requirements.
