I have a Category called "Accounts Payable" that contains attribute fields: "Accounts Payable" (checkbox), "Batch Number" (integer), "Batch Year" (integer), "Scan Date" (Date:field). I would like a live report that accepts Batch number AND Batch Year as parameters, and reports back with all the documents that have that batch number + or - 25.

so if i passed in batch number: 1000 with Batch year: 2001

My results would be batches : 975-1025.

Brett,
this seems a relatively simple query, have you got a copy of the DB Schema - you may need to sign an NDA with your OT Account Manager.

thanks DrDDT, both of those posts were helpful. I was able to create a view for all categories and query off that. thanks again.

to add to this question, i have all my queries and live reports settled, however I would like to embed a form within a custom view to capture the input fields for my live reports. Basically on submit, the form would insert the values into the live report URL. Anyone have any examples or templates i could work off of?

Brett, the simplest thing to do is look at an existing URL with same data and then replace the values in the URL with your values and check that the correct data still appears.

look at this recent thread where the user is simulating the objaction=runreport with the correct objid that is what I think you want correct.
That I think should serve you with something to start with I would inspect the URL and then change all thjose as hidden controls in the form

Well, if I called the wrong number, why did you answer the phone?
