Hi CisCo GuruS !!

Finally I've found a place on the net where as I suppose specialist can replay.

My question is : how many switches C1900 series(not stackable) can be uplinked(by the crossover uplink port) ? Nowdays I have on my network 4 and would like to add one more. Will I have problems with that ?

Thanks,

How many before you kill your performance is the better question :) Unless you are running some killer apps, I dont see why adding one more would break the bank. The issue with any stackable being daisychained together is the aggregate of the traffic hitting the 100Mbps ports. The switch is designed that the uplink port can handle the traffic from it's OWN 10 half ports. When you start daisychaining switches, now the uplink has become a shared link so with 4 switches, "theory says..400Mbps) of traffic at once. Of course.. your wiring/electronics will limit this to 100 max but I think you can see the issue.
