I want to connect cat6006 with cat6509 through uplink ports on Supervisor module.
The question is how do i connect two switches giving me max redundancy,i have 2 supervisory engine on both the switches.

Thanks
Dinesh

IS this for a server farm? What types of devices will be plugged into the switches?

I want to connect 2 switches with the uplink ports and
are ports on standby supervisory module can be used for this?

Thanks

Do you mean the 2 GBIC ports on each supervisor on a Cat6500?

I don't know about the 6006, but using 2 6500's with dual sup-II's, configured in "high availability" mode (ie one supII in standby, one active), it's possible to create a single 4Gbps channel between both switches by linking the GBICs on each engine in one switch with the gbics in the same positions on the second switch.

Watch out for the admin groups that are assigned to each channel.

if primary sup fails you lose the ports on the primary sup. keep that in mind. secondary is always available unless of course it fails as well. :)
