To reset the switch back to its factory settings, you just hold down the mode button during boot up till the light above port 1 goes off.
Your switch will boot up to a simplified mode. You can then fix problems from there. More than likely you need to reload the IOS on the switch. Just do a search for switch recovery or something on Cisco.com or call Tech Support to walk you through the reload.
If you see hardware failures during bootup, then you MUST call Tech Support.
