Hello - apologies if any of what follows is very basic / wrong...
I am trying to set up a tunnel, using l2tp, with no encryption, between a Cisco 2960 switch and a linux box. I was just interested what, if any, impact the tunnel would have on network performance - jitter, latency etc, and it was a chance to get to grips with the cisco switch.
I found a Cisco guide here:
which seems to be very much what I am trying to do, but having telneted into the router and tried to use the LNS config script I get an error:
And as for configuring the linux end, I haven't even found a suitable client yet - almost all want to use IPSEC over the tunnel.
Can anyone shed any light on where I am going wrong, or give any other pointers?
Cheers,
Ben
