Every 6 - 8 week my catalog folder get full of .Tmp files of size 0 after the nightly backup failed. The log only reports that there wasn't enough space available to write the catalog file. The only way to get the backup to work is to delete all the .TMP files. The last time it happened there were over 47,000 .TMP files I had to delete. I'm using BE 7.3 on an NT 4.0 server. Can anyone tell me why this happens and how to correct it?
