I have installed Veritas Backup Exec 9.0 and all patches on two seperate machines. When I schedule various jobs to be written to the same tape the following happens:

example: RAN CLEANING TAPE, NEW BACKUP TAPE, APPEND DATA

Scheduled Jobs: job 1 - PC1111 Full backup
job 2 - PC2222 Full backup
job 3 - PC3333 Full backup
job 4 - PC4444 Full backup
job 5 - PC5555 Differential backup

The backups seem to process fine. But when I catalog the tape before doing a restore the catalog may look like this.

Cataloged Jobs: job 1 - PC1111 Full backup
job 2 - PC5555 Differential backup
job 3 - PC3333 Full backup
job 4 - PC4444 Full backup

Restores from Job 1 work but beyond the mis-ordered backup I get a data inconsistency error.

Any ideas? Like I said I have tried this on two seperate machines.

Thanks in advance.
