catalina.sh CPU increasing at abnormal rate

Hi All,

OS: Fedora Core 4
Tomcat: 5.0.28

Recently I have noticed on our web server that the CPU % for catalina.sh is increasing at an abormal rate sotimes reaching 70 - 80%. Something that never used to happen before. I noticed that the TIME reaches a high value within a short period.

My concern is that I am having to restart catalina.sh every other day so that it does not reach 100 %.

Any ideas where I could look at for some clues as to where the problem lies?

Perhaps your server is just busy ?

Or you have some bad code that is performing some kind of infinite loop ?
