guys,

Has anyone worked with this vlan configuration using these hardware. Everything is working fine for me. Only one problem, I setup an NT DHCP server to dynamically assigned ip addresses. When I join a port(vlan13 172.16.0.x/23) on the 3548 sw it does not get an ip address. If I put that same port on the default vlan(vlan1 192.18.1.x/24), it does get an DHCP assigned ip address. If I manually input the ip address using the vlan's subnet ip address it works fine. Am I missing a command on the 3548 sw for dhcp server?

Any help is appreciated.

You will need to use the ip helper-address x.x.x.x command to point each Vlan to the DHCP server. Only if you have a DHCP server on the same segment as the VLAN will it get an IP address if you do not use the helper address.

Hope this helped !
