Hi Guys, I wonder if anyone can recommend a supplier that will supply me (UK Guy) a comms cabinet. I need one about 27U high, and 600 wide by 800 deep, this is to hold patch panels ect, also a shelf that could support a Voice recorder.Also I have to supply cable trunking, i think you call it raceway over there, i need 4 inch by 4 inch and also 2 inch x 1 inch. Also it would be helpful if they offer next day delivery incase the job has unavoidable problems. The reason i am asking is that a company that i do work for in the UK has started a little dealer operation in New York, the meat packing district area. i have seen a video of the site and am pretty much happy with the materials i need , but as it is only a video i really would need some supplier who can really help out fast. i only have 4 days to get the job complete and thats my lot if i dont finish it.

why not get a local NY cable company company to help you out and supply the materials

I Have heard that the Buildings in New York are union run and that they only let official contractors do the installation work. is this true as I dont want to end up with a Union Official causing me to leave the states in a bit of a hurry.

We have a client here in Los Angeles with a division in New York city(Manhattan).
What we do is have a local cabling company take care any thing our client needs at that site.

besides the Union aspect you also have to consider licensee and permits requirements
