Need the CAT commands to forward an extension. Our telephony servers were stolen and now all we have are the CAT's to control the phones.
In using E600, when I try to enter the new extension to forward to I receive a DATA ERROR message. All previous forwarding numbers have been cleared but it won't allow me to enter new ones.
Can anyone help!!!!????

mmmm sounds like an older 2000 or there is a password on your system.

Have you checked e601 (call forward busy) and e602 (call forward no answer)?

Did you have a password when you used MAT mode? If so then you will have to enter password to change the data but you can look at it.

Post back and let me know.

Yes, I've tried all the E6xx CAT commands and have encountered the same error on certain phones. I'm able to configure others without a problem including my own.

As I recall, the system was purchased in late 2002 and, at the time, no password was configured. Unfortunately, prior to our IS Director being let go, I was aware of his working on this very same issue to lock the system down.

Can passwords be applied to certain phones and not others?

I would try clearing any trunk queing that may be turned on first. The default code is to dial #1 on the phone. Then try to forward it to the new destination. This has worked for me.

Thank you, fixin! It worked. Even though all the phones were allegedly on the same trunk in this office, they display different areas when cleared.

Once again, thanks! Problem solved!
