CAST....ANSI SQL

Is this statement:

Where substring(cast(date as varchar(8)),5,2) = '02'

ANSI SQL or is it MSSQL7 specific SQL?
 

The statement appears to be ANSI SQL compliant. Cast and substring as well as the date and varchar data types were included in the SQL-92 standard. Terry L. Broadbent
