what is the procedure for cashworks upgradation from 5.4 to 5.5
 
There is no word like upgradation.
If you want to upgrade the data then go to Administartive Services, Data Activation and activate the new module. Contact the authors of Cashworks for specific procedures to follow for the upgrade.

Accpac verion?
Database? Pervasive, MS SQL...

I suspect this is Pervasive 9.x and Accpac 5.4 or higher, edit the database in Database Setup, click OK and you should get an error message - ignore it - and click OK again. That should fix it.
 
Yes, Pervasive 9 & Accpac 5.4; I did everything you suggested, but all it did was go back and forth between Edit database Profile window to error message window (when I click OK on each screen) then tried to open Accpac, another error message "cannot access database (error-2)" Please help.
 
I think it is...? I see it in System DSN from ODBC administrator, Name & Driver - all there. Or is that something completely different? How do you set up ODBC DSN? [ponder]
 
It's already set up - is there anything else you can suggest that may cause problem? Thanks in advance.
 
Contact your Accpac business partner, they will know what to do.
