cash drawer security

can you make it so that no one but a manager can open a drawer? i have disabled successfully the open drawer feature from all but management.however, from the screen when you assign the employee to the drawer, there is a button they use that says "open" which allows the drawer to open. financials-> cash drawers

Can i make it so a manger has to assign the drawer or can i somehow get rid of that button?

Go to [Maintenance][Labor][Access Levels] and uncheck "cash drawer" under the finacial tab for all access levels other than the one(s) you use for managers.
Access levels are the security assignments for FOH "Functions".

ok, so here is the problem. i have 2 cashiers. i dont want the cashier to be able to open the drawer. I disabled no sale from privleges and they have found a way around it. function, financial, cash drawer, (there is a button that says "open" that allows them access.) I want to make it so that there is no way to open the drawer unless there is a sale. how can i get rid of this button. "open"

How about something eles... can i make it so that a manager has to assign a drawer to the cashier. so that the cashier can not even see cash and function screen?
