When I use the finder in Accpac for account name, vendor name etc. it is case sensitive. It is only like this in one of my companies - It is because of the way it was originally set up or can I change this?

Thanks

It was how it was set up, the SQL collation order is probably binary.

You might be able to fix it with a Dbdump/Dbload, but if you have IC units of measure like "EACH", "each", and "Each", it will take data surgery to fix.

It's easy to test:

1. Create a new empty company in MSSQL with case insensitive collation order
2. Dbdump the old
3. Dbload into the new
4. If you get a "127" error, it means you have duplicate keys. If you don't, you're fine.
