Is there a way for Access to recognize values which are case sensitive. For example, I have a table imported via ODBC from our main computer system which has the following records:

Terms Code Discount
H 2%
h 1%

When trying to update a second table which has the terms code but not the discount from the table above, the correct discounts do not appear

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

thank you

use StrComp([FieldName],"YourValue",0)

0 indicates that you want to perform a Binary Compare

Hang on, if the example is in an Access table, there should be no problem cos Access is not case sensitive. That is, h and H are the same.
I think your problem is elsewhere. Peter Meachem
