Cascading Dynamic Parameters

I'm having problems with cascading dynamic paramters in CRXI.

To aid with explaing I shall refer to Countries, and Cities.

I have ~ 900 Countries, each country having ~ 10 cities in each.

I have a country table, and a city table (which has a field City.country) which I use to join the tables.

The Country Table, has a field Type. (Now this gets tricky, can't use colurs, or religons,) Ok, Rich, Medium and Poor.

The end result, I'm trying to acheive, is the user to choose, 1 country and a subset of its cities.

Creating individual parameters will not work... Too many cities.

If I create a dynamic parameter, using the Country.Name, then this works, I get all 900 countries to choose from .

Now If I recreate this, and have a cascading parameter, Country, then City, my choice of countries is limited to roughly a third of the whole list. The cities parameter works fine, if I'm only inteersted in the resultant subset of the countries. Zimbabwe does not appear, for example.

So, I think to myself, I can further limit the countries by using, Country.affleunce.

But this only returns those affluences, of the 1/3 of all the countries, say Poor and Medium and misses out on those rich countries. Unfortunatly, I do not have an Affluence table to use.

Do other people find the amount of records, the parameters returns very limited, and cascading parameters even more limited.

What do other people do to get around this? I'd rather not use Static parameters.

Cheers, Kai.
