Hi Guys,
I have a need to use a static parameter prompt in Crystal XI, after the user enters the static parameter I need this to link/cascade to a dynamic list.

The scenario is:
Purchasing system with 1000's of historical Purchase Orders, there may be up to 10 deliveries associated to each Purchase Order.

loked at using just dynamic cascading parameter, but the 1st list is just way too long & not practical.

We need to be able to enter the PO number to locate all deliveries for this PO, so need to link the static parameter to the dynamic lookup to list all deliveries linked to PO_ID.

Does anybody have any experience with this? Can it be done?

Many thanks in advance

afaik, the only solution for this is to use one of the 3rd-party Crystal Reports viewers (see list at That particula viewer provides its own implementation of dynamic and cascading parameters, whereby you design rpt files to act as parameter dialogs. Those rpt files can have their own dynamic or static parameters (providing full cascading flexibility)...

Hi Ido,

I think you are talking about the DataLink Viewer.
Can you intergrate the DataLink Viewer with Business Objects XI R2 InfoView?

Thx

Rick
