hi
Is there any way to put caller ID on CAS-Tie lines:

I have two sites md110 BC12_sp1. Between them there is 30 channels CAS tie lines Board: tlu76/3
unit:tlp37

the caller ID does not work, when Ext. on first site calls Ext. on the other site, It is shoing on the screen:corporating...

no caller id on the screen.
My question: Is CAS protocal support ID caller?
if Yes what is the parameter for rocai & ADC for roddi

thanks alot

You can have it with MFC signalling (MFU boards or the old MSU/MRU1&MRU2)
Other var parameters required .
btw why do you have cas...? as tieline .

thank you SYAR2003 for fast response.

note: there is a copper line as a tie line, the company who run that cable and there interfaces does not support any protocal rather than CAS. by the way I need an Example please for the parameter and why MFC boards.

Thanks alot.

If you are using DTMF, the A-number is not sent, MFC takes care of it. TL37 is a "digital" E&M, used rarely, mostly if "wink" start is needed (US market). in this case, the only way is just to try with ISDN, no matter what the company says. Or, as SYAR wrote, use MFC board(s), then you'll get A-number. The parameters? Just an example:
VARC:00000001
VARI:0000022F
VARO:00004C07

With these parameters you need the MFC boards, and still don't rely on them, it's only an example!

Changing to R2 needs also MFC, DTMF is not sent during signalling. Or then you have to patch the MD in order to receive post-dialled DTMF's in order to show the CID (??)

-Put MFU board in same LIM where TLU76/3 is.
-Don't forget to include A5 signal in signalling protocol.(D6 in VARO). A5 signal is caller ID request, if you are using CCITT R2 MFC signalling.
-Do not use simplified MFC signalling (D7 in VARI).
