We're planning on moving an UK based IPC "Private Wire" circuit which is currently connected to an existing Unigy system, to connect instead to a DS1 on a G450 gateway on our Avaya CM 7 system.
I read this thread which references connecting a private wire circuit configured as a CAS Automatic Ringdown circuit -

However, IPC have informed us that their circuit is configured for MRD/Gen-Gen. I'm not really sure what "Gen-Gen" means in this context - is it to do with how the alerting is signalled to the remote end?
Can a DS1 be configured for Manual Ringdown or will we need to get IPC to change the delivery to a ARD circuit?
