Hello,
I have ip403 2.1.24 w/ATM and the PSTN service is t1 channelized to loopstart through a Shark unit from Verizon. The IP Office will not recognize the disconnect from Verizon. Testing with a regular POTS line does disconnect.
I can monitor the line at the NID and upon hangup hear a quiet disconnect signal followed by dialtone a few seconds later but the AA plays, times out and leaves a "if you'd like to make a call" message in the general box.
The carrier says the only option they have is to enable an option on their end called Advanced Disconnect which did not work.
I have selected "disconnect" as my menu timeout action in VMpro, but other users are complaining about these dead air messages now too. My trunks have disconnect clear enabled and 50ms selected which is default.
What else can I try?
